No shocking result in a game in Istanbul where second rankedBesiktas (18-3) smashed 11th ranked Merkezefendi (8-13) 99-74 on Friday. Besiktas looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American point guard Devon Dotson (188-1999, college: Kansas) stepped up and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and French center Ismael Kamagate (211-2001) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Sam Griffin (192-2001, college: Wyoming) with 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Belgian forward Vrenz Bleijenbergh (208-2000) scored 11 points and 7 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Besiktas have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 18-3 record behind leader Fenerbahce. Merkezefendi lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Mersin Spor.
