Very predictable result in Izmir where sixth rankedGoztepe (15-11) beat 15th ranked Balikesir BBS (8-18) 91-82 on Sunday. Goztepe made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Senegalese center Abdoulaye Gueye (206-1994, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 18 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field). Ahmet Cantitiz (193-1992) helped adding 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American point guard Fred Cleveland Jr (178-2001, college: NCCU) with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and Berkay Genc (205-1996) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Balikesir BBS's coach Alaeddin Yakan tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Goztepe moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ormanspor. Loser Balikesir BBS keeps the fifteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with iLab.
