The biggest surprise of round 24 was guestSamsun 's (17-4) road victory over Kirklareli (#4) 87-74 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Kirklareli. Samsun made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. Strangely Kirklareli outrebounded Samsun 53-36 including a 29-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Leilani McIntosh (168-2000, college: California) who scored 32 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward DreUna Edwards (183-2000, college: Baylor) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four Samsun players scored in double figures. Samsun's coach Murat Saat used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was center Mary Baskerville (190-2000, college: Quinnipiac) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 26 rebounds and point guard Nyla Jean (168-2002, college: Southern Miss) added 24 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Samsun moved-up to second place. Kirklareli at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost.
