There was no surprise when 12th rankedManisa Izmir (4-8) was defeated at home by second ranked Petkim Spor (10-2) 86-76 on Wednesday. Aliaga Petkim made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 29 Manisa turnovers and outrebounded them 37-24 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Mehmet Ozturk (-2010) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 assists and 5 steals and Yigit Kilavuz (-2008) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Petkim Spor's coach Ahmet Gurgen used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Suleyman Pulat (-2008) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and Kerem Kilic scored 20 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Aliaga Petkim and four Manisa players scored in double figures. Aliaga Petkim maintains second position with 10-2 record having just two points less than leader Anadolu Efes, which they share with Tofas. Manisa lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with eight games lost.
