Important game to mention about took place in Istanbul. Eighth rankedGalatasaray (14-10) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Erokspor (14-10) 86-85 in the game for the seventh place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Erokspor. Galatasaray made 28-of-37 charity shots (75.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Erokspor 40-28 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Erokspor was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American James Palmer Jr (198-1996, college: Nebraska) who saved his team from a defeat with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import swingman Jerome Robinson (197-1997, college: Boston Coll.) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. American point guard Jordon Crawford (168-1990, college: BGSU, agency: Slash Sports) replied with 28 points and 9 assists (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) and French power forward Petr Cornelie (211-1995) added 23 points in the effort for Erokspor. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Galatasaray moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Erokspor.
