The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul:Fenerbahce (#2) and Efes (#6). Efes was smashed at home by 16 points 73-89 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Efes. American guard Talen Horton-Tucker (193-2000, college: Iowa St.) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and Latvian point guard Arturs Zagars (190-2000) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists during the contest. French center Vincent Poirier (213-1993) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and international Erkan Yilmaz (192-1997) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion (22-4) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Besiktas. Anadolu Efes at the other side keeps the sixth place with ten games lost.
