Regular Season Round 13: Sambir - Khmelnytskyi 60-70

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeatedSambir (12-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Khmelnytskyi (8-5) 70-60 . It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Sambir. The game without a history. Khmelnytskyi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sambir 's 32. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Marty Hill (196-1997, college: Evansville) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Oleksandr Bartolomeev (201-1996) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Khmelnytskyi's coach Hanna Shlykova used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian-Russian center Aleksey Adediran (206-1982, college: Binghamton, agency: BIG) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and guard Anatoliy Konev (192-1992) added 24 points in the effort for Sambir. Khmelnytskyi have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with DiDiBao. Sambir at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost.
