Regular Season Round 25: MBC-Niko 2 - K.Sokoly 63-98

The most interesting game of round 25 was a home defeat of 3rd placedMBC-Niko 2 (15-4) by second ranked K.Sokoly (16-3) who outscored them by 35 points 98-63 in the game for the second place. It ended the five-game winning streak of MBC-Niko 2 . The game without a history. K.Sokoly led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to MBC-Niko 2 's 26. K.Sokoly forced 27 MBC-Niko 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 40-20 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. K.Sokoly looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Dmitry Martynov (191-2002) stepped up and scored 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Vadim Zaplotinskiy (200-1997, agency: BIG) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. K.Sokoly's coach Oleksiy Zolotous felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Bogdan Lukian (183-1999) responded with 18 points and Mykhailo Mitirich (188-2003) scored 12 points. K.Sokoly have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 16-3 record having just three points less than leader Sambir. MBC-Niko 2 at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost.
