Rather predictable result in Mykolaiv where fifth rankedZaporizhye (8-6) defeated 9th ranked Niko Basket (4-10) 78-67 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-67. Zaporizhye forced 24 Niko Basket turnovers. Strangely Niko Basket outrebounded Zaporizhye 51-33 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Canadian-American power forward Tarig Eisa (203-1998, college: Regis Univ.) who scored 28 points and 9 rebounds. Ilya Lishchyna chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Zaporizhye players scored in double figures. produced 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Denys Klevzunyk (195-2000, agency: BIG) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Zaporizhye moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Niko Basket keeps the ninth position with ten games lost.
