Regular Season Round 10: Zaporizhye - Stariy Lutsk 77-102

Stariy Lutsk can celebrate finally their first win this season after 13 consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they outplayed much higher ranked Zaporizhye (8-8) on the road game in Zaporozhye 102-77 . The game was mostly controlled by Stariy Lutsk. Zaporizhye was better in second period 24-20 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Stariy Lutsk dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Zaporizhye 's 34. Stariy Lutsk forced 19 Zaporizhye turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ronald Moore (190-1998, college: SW Christian) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 5 steals. Forward Vladislav Nikolaichuk (200-2004) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Stariy Lutsk players scored in double figures. Stariy Lutsk's coach Anton Musienko felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Kalib Mathews (193-2001, college: Queens, NC) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and forward Oleksandr Petrenko (191-2002) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Zaporizhye. Stariy Lutsk maintains tenth position with 1-13 record. Zaporizhye at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost.
