Regular Season Round 10: Niko Basket - Krivbas 70-85

There was no surprise in Mykolaiv where 9th rankedNiko Basket (4-11) was defeated by fourth ranked Krivbas (9-7) 85-70 on Sunday. The game without a history. Krivbas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American guard Marty Hill (196-1997, college: Evansville) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Alex Peacock (199-1997, college: Texas St.) chipped in 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) during the contest. Krivbas' coach Evgeni Isakov used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side the former international point guard Maksym Safonov (190-2003) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Oleksandr Garbar (200-2001) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Krivbas maintains fourth position with 9-7 record. Niko Basket lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Cherkasy.
