Not a big story in a game in Kyiv where 8th rankedFreedom UA (1-9) was defeated by sixth ranked Niko Basket 2 (4-8) 64-58 on Monday. Freedom UA was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Niko Basket 2 dominated on the defensive end, holding Freedom UA to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Niko Basket 2 made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Kyrylo Nieamtsu (203-2005) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 6 blocks. Center Rodion Nesterenko (206-2004) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Niko Basket 2 players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Roman Potieev (-2007) who recorded 12 points and 5 assists and point guard Mykyta Kobylinskyi (184-2006) added 4 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals respectively. Freedom UA's coach Pavlo Burenko gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Niko Basket 2 maintains sixth place with 4-8 record. Freedom UA lost their sixth game in a row. Freedom UA at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with nine games lost.
