Round 10 in Higher League means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Mykolaiv where hostNiko Basket 2 (6-8) beat league's leader DiDiBao (11-3) 88-75 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-75. Niko Basket 2 made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Niko Basket 2 outrebounded DiDiBao 48-30 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Niko Basket 2 made 9 blocks. Guard Maksym Hryshchuk (185-2006) fired 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Rostyslav Kabanov (191-2004) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. Four Niko Basket 2 players scored in double figures. American guard Eric Butler (193-2001, college: Rio Grande) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and forward Bogdan Riznychenko (197-2001) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Niko Basket 2 have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Niko Basket 2 maintains fifth position with 6-8 record. DiDiBao at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Khmelnytskyi.
