Top rankedDiDiBao (11-3) recorded its third loss in Mykolaiv on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Niko Basket 2 (6-8) 89-81 . DiDiBao trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 22-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 81-89 at the end of the game. Niko Basket 2 outrebounded DiDiBao 53-31 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Niko Basket 2 made 10 blocks. Guard Maksym Hryshchuk (185-2006) had a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Vitaliy Volodin (198-2004) chipped in 13 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks during the contest. At the losing side American guard Eric Butler (193-2001, college: Rio Grande) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and center Yevgen Brechko (206-1992) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Niko Basket 2 have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Niko Basket 2 maintains fifth position with 6-8 record. Loser DiDiBao dropped to the second place with three games lost.
