No shocking result in a game when third rankedKyiv Basket (14-6) beat at home 8th ranked Niko Basket (5-15) 73-67 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Kyiv Basket outrebounded Niko Basket 44-27 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Artem Smitiukh (197-2004) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. The former international guard Mykhaylo Bublyk (194-2003) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Guard Maksym Hryshchuk (185-2006) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Jamir Moultrie (185-1997, college: Canisius) added 12 points in the effort for Niko Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kyiv Basket moved-up to second place. Niko Basket lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost.
