Regular Season Round 11: Che-Basket - Freedom UA 89-104

Bottom-rankedFreedom UA managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of nine consecutive losses on Sunday night. This time newly promoted Freedom UA won against sixth-ranked Che-Basket in Czernowitz 104-89 . It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 15-point difference suggests that Freedom UA is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 55-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for Roman Potieev (-2007) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Bohdan Babych (200-2008) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Five Freedom UA players scored in double figures. Forward Maksym Deyna (203-1999) came up with 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and guard Ihor Fedchuk (184-1998) added 35 points (!!!) respectively for Che-Basket in the defeat. Newly promoted Freedom UA maintains eighth place with 2-12 record. Che-Basket at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth position with ten games lost.
