We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th rankedCherkasy (5-15) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Stariy Lutsk (3-18) 80-74 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-18 . But Cherkasy won second period 19-18 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Stariy Lutsk forced 22 Cherkasy turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Lorenzo Anderson (190-2000, college: Peru St.) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Sami Roe (188-1999, college: Graceland) chipped in 20 points. Four Stariy Lutsk players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jermaine Hamlin (208-2000, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Nigerian-Australian guard Uche Dibiamaka (193-1999, college: St.Edward's) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Stariy Lutsk maintains ninth place with 3-18 record. Loser Cherkasy keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost.
