Fourth-rankedSambir (8-6) gave a tough game to first ranked Khmelnytskyi (15-2) on Sunday. The visitors from Khmelnytskyi managed to secure only three-point victory 78-75 . However their fans expected easier game. Sambir trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 12 after three quarters before a 21-12 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 75-78 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Dmitry Kachanov (177-2003) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Vladislav Melnyk (193-2003) who added 12 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Nigerian center Oleksii Adediran (206-1982, college: Binghamton, agency: BIG) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds and Nikita Ruslov (195-1996, agency: BIG) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Five Khmelnytskyi and four Sambir players scored in double figures. Khmelnytskyi have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-2 record. Sambir at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost.
