Zlatorog Lasko clinched Alpe Adria Cup title. They overcame Patrioti Levice in the championship game in Vienna tonight. Cleveland Thomas (190-G-93, college: Hartford), Nejc Baric (183-PG-97, agency: PEPI SPORT) and Marko Popovic (200-F-85) posted 18 points each to lead the Slovenian side. Levice got to the better start. The Slovakian team earned a 23:21 lead after ten minutes. They stretched the margin at 4-point mark at the big break 41:37. But Zlatorog turned things around in the second half. The Slovenian side used a 25:13 run in the third period to spur ahead. Zlatorog dropped 27 points in the fourth period and celebrated the trophy. Miha Vasl (192-G-92, agency: PEPI SPORT) paced Levice with game-high 22 points. Tanel Kurbas (197-G-88) chipped in 17 points in the loss.
