Blackbirds - Mustangs 79-77
Blackbirds held off Mustangs to conquer 2.Bundesliga title. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mustangs won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Mustangs helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Sebastian Koch (200-1988) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. Hungarian guard Mate Horvath (182-2003) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Guard Christoph Leydolf (191-1999) replied with 21 points and Czech center Michal Norwa (198-1983) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Mustangs. Five Mustangs players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
