Newly promoted Kufstein Towers (BSL) added 24-year-old Croatian 203cm forward Duje Putnik, who is represented by Starting 5 agency, to their roster for the 2026-27 season. He is the second foreign player on the team, joining Puerto Rican Jose Placer-Diaz who signed earlier. Putnik is making a comeback to Towers, having played for them before. He most recently played for Dresden Titans in German ProB, averaging 15.0ppg, 5.5rpg, 2.4apg, and 1.0spg in 20 games last season. In the 2024-25 season, he played for UBC St. Poelten.
Putnik was a member of the Croatian Under 20 National Team in 2021.
He has played previously in Croatia between stints at Alkar, Universitas, and Split.
Among many awards, his team finished as the regular season runner-up in the Austrian 2.Bundesliga East Group in 2024.
