Moritz Lanegger joins Timberwolves

Vienna D.C. Timberwolves (BSL) added to their roster 31-year old international point guard Moritz Lanegger (190cm). Lanegger has played for the last two seasons at BK IMMOunited Dukes Klosterneuburg in the BSL, before focusing on the 3X3 challenges with team Graz.. In 21 games he had 9.3ppg, 3.9rpg, 4.7apg and 1.2spg in 2019-20 season. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. They also played in the Cup final. A very impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Austrian League 2nd Team and All-Domestic Players Team. Lanegger also played 3 games in Alpe Adria Cup where he recorded 7.0ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg.
He has been also a member of Austrian international program for some years. Lanegger has regularly played for Austrian senior team since 2010 and previously for U20 National Team between 2009 and 2010.
He represented Austria at the European Championships 2021 Pre-Qualifiers 22 years ago. His stats at that event were 3 games: 7.7ppg, 6.3rpg, 5.0apg, 1.7spg, FGP: 66.7%, FT-1 (93.8%).
Lanegger is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Denmark (Naestved), Spain (Palma) and United Kingdom (London Lions and Manchester Giants) and Austria (UBSC Graz, Kapfenberg Bulls and Gussing Knights).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Danish Cup in 2017. Lanegger was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Austrian League Defensive Player of the Year in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2019.
