Rather predictable result in Athens where sixth ranked Greek Panathinaikos (10-7) defeated 9th ranked Turkish Anadolu Efes (8-9) 92-81 on Friday. Panathinaikos made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. American-Guinea-Bissau guard K.C. Rivers (196-87, college: Clemson) stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and American point guard Mike James (185-90, college: Lamar) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. American forward Tyler Honeycutt (203-90, college: UCLA) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Uruguayan-Italian guard Jayson Granger (189-89) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Panathinaikos moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Fenerbahce. Loser Anadolu Efes keep the ninth position with nine games lost.
