CSKA Moscow wins the final for the third place beating for 86-80 Fenerbahce Istanbul, thanks to a great first half (48-24) and resisting to the comeback of the Turkish team in the second 20 minutes. Decisive the precision from the free throw line in the key final moments for the team of coach Dimitris Itoudis, assistant coach of his opponent Obradovic for 13 season at Panathinaikos. For CSKA, tonight without Teodosic, good performance of several players with 3 men in double digit. Goudelock (24) and Bjelica (18+10) tried in the second half an amazing comeback (-28 starting the third quarter), dragged by the many Turkish supporters in the arena, but reaching just the tie in two occasions before to lose the game and the possibility to take home the 'bronze medal'.

The first half ends with the result of 48-24 for CSKA, and an incredible 62-9 in ranking! Nichols and Weems take Moscow on +28, Fener answers with a 7-0 partial and with the points of the ex Zisis and the RS MVP Bjelica the team of coach Obradovic backs on -19. Goudelock scores after the steal the 56-40, Bogdanovic answers to Fridzon, Kaun closes with the amazing dunk but is the Rising Star again to scorer with the triple. Goudelock scores 4 consecutive points and after two intentional fouls, one of Zisis and one on Zisis, Erden dunk the 66-55, the final score after 30 minutes with a good reaction for the Turkish team. Goudelock opens the last quarter with 2 winning penetrations, Erden blocks Hines and we have finally a 'game' with Fener on -7. Kirilenko dunk missing the additional free throw, Erden answers with the huge dunk but it's Goudelock again to score for the 70-65! With the energy under the basket of Erden and the triple of Zisis Istanbul finds the tie at 35', Jackson scores by 3, Goudelock answers with the classic rainbow but Khryapa scores on the buzzer the 75-72 with 4 minutes to play. With 5 consecutive points of Bjelica Fener reaches the tie again, Goudelock commits his fifth personal foul leaving his team without the best scorer of the match and CSKA is perfect from the free throw line reaching the +3 with 60 seconds to play.
