The Greens had to work very hard in order to beat Unicaja in Athens. However, even in case that PAO suffered defeat yesterday it would be No.1 as Partizan was unsuccessful in Rome. With this win PAO ended Top 16 registering almost perfect 5-1 and it will meet Montepaschi Siena in the quarterfinals (March 24th). On the other side, Unicaja faced with elimination after home defeat against Partizan in Round 4. Mike Batiste was a key player for the Greens last night collecting 22 points and 9 rebounds. Andrew Nicholas scored 15, while Sarunas Jasikevicius added 12 pts and 5 assists. Stratos Perperoglou also helped with 12 pts. Jiri Welsch top-scored in loss with 21 points. German Gabriel had 17 and Joseph Gomis contributed with 16 pts and 5 boards.
