Expected win for Unics, who reached the second round easily. The Russian outfit celebrated in Game One as well and they will meet Charleroi at the next stage. Marko Popovic exploded in this victory with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. He made six triples for his team. Maciej Lampe had 12 points and 5 boards, while Zakhar Pashutin (6 rebs) and Kelly McCarty helped with 11 points each. In Dutch champion, Robby Bostain had 17 points and 5 rebounds. Matt Haryasz (9 rebs) and Jason Dourisseau scored 13 points each. Unics opened this game better. The hosts started with 8-6 and later improved to 13-7 lead. GasTerra Flames cut the margin to 17-16 until the end of the first quarter, but the hosts replied with 8-3 at the beginning of the second period and later reached 31-23. Still, visitors didn’t give up and mostly owing to Robby Bostain, Ross and Ellis, they created 0-7 run for minus one at the halftime. At the beginning of third quarter, Dutch champion threatened seriously as they grabbed 40-43 lead. However, that was all from GasTerra Flames in this game as Unics immediately took control on them taking 53-47 and later 58-47. All what GasTerra Flames was able to do until the end was minus 7.
