Regular Season Round 3: Valencia - CSKA 82-57

Date: November 3, 2010
Both teams failed in the first two rounds. The Spanish team managed to register first Euroleague win of the season as they outplayed CSKA Moscow 82-57. Visitors have big troubles with injuries this season and they dropped to 0-3 in Group D. Robertas Javtokas came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds in Valencia. Omar-Sharif Cook scored 14, Victor Claver had 11 and Dusko Savanovic helped with 10 points. In the loosing squad, Trajan Langdon collected 16 points and 5 rebs. Andrey Vorontsevich had 11 pts and 9 boards. Valencia took control on CSKA Moscow from the very beginning. Dusko Savanovic opened the game with a low post basket, after what Robertas Javtokas and Martinez paced the hosts to 6-0 lead. They reached 15-5 and later closed the first quarter with 30-18. Visitors were not able to reply and to avoid 42-29 deficit at the halftime. Nothing has changed after the breather as there was only one team playing on the court and it was Valencia. The home squad jumped to 53-29 at the halfway of Q3 and question about the winner was already resolved. Third quarter ended with 65-39 and Valencia reached plus 29 in the finish of this game. In the next round, Valencia will host AJ Milano. CSKA Moscow waits Union Olimpija.
