Another exciting game took place in St.Petersburg where seventh ranked Triumph (2-2) edged by two points 3rd placed Spartak SP (3-2) 87-85. Canadian guard Jermaine Anderson (188-83, college: Fordham) orchestrated the victory with 18 points and 7 assists. Forward Valery Likhodey (203-86) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Triumph's coach Valdemaras Chomicius used all the bench in such tough game. American swingman Dijon Thompson (201-83, college: UCLA) answered with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and former international guard Anton Ponkrashov (200-86) added 16 points for Spartak SP. Thanks to that win Triumph moved-up to sixth place. Spartak SP dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share it with Unics and Lokomotiv. Triumph's next round game will be against higher ranked Lokomotiv K. at Moscow. Spartak SP will play at home against N.Novgorod to get back on winning track.
