Regular Season Round 8: Atomeromu - Konecranes 91-62

Date: November 19, 2010
Very significant was Atomeromu's (#4) 29-point home victory against Salgotarjani 91-62. The winners were led by guard Akos Kovacs (184-88) who had that evening 15 points and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) and American power forward Brooks Sales (208-80, college: Villanova) who supported him with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Atomeromu's coach Imre Horvath allowed to play his deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even double-double 26 points and 21 rebounds by American power forward Gabriel Hughes (213-80, college: California) did not help to save the game for Salgotarjani. That victory allowed Atomeromu (6-2) to climb to third place. They share it with Kormend, ZTE KK and Albacomp. Eighth consecutive loss means that Salgotarjani is still at the bottom of the standings. Atomeromu's next round game will be against Marso-Vagep (#8) at Nyiregyhaza where they are favorite. Salgotarjani will play at home against Szedeak (#12) hoping to get finally their first victory.
