Regular Season Round 8: Falco-Szova - Soproni 77-71
Date: November 20, 2010
Rather predictable result in Szombathely where seventh ranked Falco-Szova (4-3) defeated 9th ranked Soproni (3-5) 77-71. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Charles Gosa (202-77, college: N.Mexico St.) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds and forward Peter Hajmasy (193-88) who added 18 points. Falco-Szova's coach Nikola Lazic allowed to play his deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Thomas Kelley (188-77, college: Michigan St., agent: Avi Zilberman) responded with 19 points and 4 assists and his countryman power forward Darian Townes (208-84) with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Soproni added third loss to their record. Despite the victory Falco-Szova (4-3) stay at seventh position. Soproni (3-5) on the other side took ninth place. Falco-Szova are looking forward to the next round to face higher ranked ZTE KK (#5) in Zalaegerszeg and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Soproni will play at home against league's new leader Szolnok (#1) having rather no chance for a victory.
