Regular Season Round 6: Apoel - Keravnos 71-69

There was a change at the Division A leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 6 was defeat of league's leader Keravnos. They lost on the road by second ranked APOEL 71-69. It ended the series of five consecutive victories of Keravnos. American guard Jeremiah Davis (183-81, college: Pacific, agent: Matt Brown) scored 29 points and 5 rebounds to led the charge for the winners and American-Belgian forward Ian Hanavan (202-80, college: Evansville, agent: Luciano Capicchioni) helped with 10 points. The best for the losing side was American guard Vonteego Cummings (192-76, college: Pittsburgh) with 21 points and his countryman forward Kevin Johnson (201-84, college: Humboldt St., agent: Michael Hart) with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Coach Memos Ioannou tried in this game 10 players in such tough game. APOEL has an impressive series of five victories in a row. That victory allowed current champions APOEL (5-0) to take over a leadership position. Keravnos (5-1) on the other side went down to second place as they recorded their first loss. Keravnos will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. APOEL will try to continue on it's current victory against ninth ranked AEK in Larnaca.
