Very significant was Apollon's (#4) 83-72 road victory against Achilleas. American guard Dante Stiggers (187-82, college: S.Mississippi) notched double-double 11 points and 12 assists to lead the effort and American-Spanish power forward Lewis Sims (203-73, college: New Orleans, agent: Jamie Knox) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds. Even 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Greek forward Georgios Diamantopoulos (195-80) did not help to save the game for Achilleas. Coach let to play 10 players giving the chance to rest for starting five. That victory allowed Apollon (4-1) to climb to third place. They share it with Etha.
