Regular Season Round 5: Dynamo MO - Khimky 93-97

There was no surprise in Moscow where 9th ranked Dynamo (1-4) was defeated by fourth ranked Khimky (3-1) 97-93. The best player for the winner was American swingman Keith Langford (193-83, college: Kansas) who had 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. International forward Sergey Monya (204-83) helped with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Khimky's coach Sergio Scariolo used 11-player rotation in such tough game. International guard Eugeny Voronov (192-86) produced double-double 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and former international forward Nikita Shabalkin (204-86) added 29 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Dynamo added third loss to their record. Thanks to that win Khimky become a new league leader, which they share with CSKA. Dynamo dropped to the tenth place with four games lost. Khimky are looking forward to the next round to face Krasnie Krilya (#7) in Samara which should be theoretically an easy game. Dynamo will have a break next round.
