Very significant was AEL's (#7) just 2-point road victory against 4th placed Etha 70-68 ending at the same time the series of two consecutive victories of Etha. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for guard Brandon Ewing (187-86, college: Wyoming, agent: Herb Rudoy) who led the winners with 31 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Avis Wyatt (211-84, college: Virginia St., agent: Brian Elfus) who stepped in adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami (FL), agent: Herb Rudoy) came up with double-double 15 points and 12 rebounds and guard Ken Tutt (185-84, college: ORU, agent: Jamie Knox) added 18 points for Etha in defeat. That victory allowed AEL (2-4) to climb to sixth place. Etha (4-2) on the other side took fourth position as they recorded their second loss. AEL's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Limassol to the arena Apollon.
