Rather expected game when 9th ranked BBC Nyon (2-10) lost at home to sixth ranked Boncourt (6-6) 89-83. The winners were led by international swingman Reto Schwaiger (190-87) who scored that evening 25 points and international center Nicolas Dos Santos (200-87) who supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Five Boncourt players scored in double figures. Boncourt's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 33 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by American center Cruz Daniels (211-85, college: High Point) did not help to save the game for BBC Nyon. His fellow American import guard Chad Byron (188-87, college: Cumberlands) added 20 points. Boncourt jumped to the fifth spot. They share the position with Monthey. BBC Nyon lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth place. Boncourt will meet Monthey (#5) on the road in the next round. BBC Nyon will play against the league's second-placed Fribourg (#2) and hope to secure a win.
