Bottom-ranked Salgotarjani (0-11) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to eleventh ranked Kaposvari (4-7) 77-108 on Saturday evening. The game rather controlled by Kaposvari. Salgotarjani managed to win second quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kaposvari dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Salgotarjani's 42 and made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Kaposvari outrebounded Salgotarjani 40-24 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Josh Wilson (188-87, college: N.Arizona, agency: Beggs and Lane) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. International swingman Gabor Soos (200-85) chipped in 24 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Kaposvari players scored in double figures. Guard Tamas Sebok (191-77) produced 23 points and forward Tamas Hartvich (200-74) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory allowed Kaposvari (4-7) to climb to the ninth place. They share it with Soproni. Salgotarjani lost their seventh straight game in a row. Eleventh consecutive loss means that Salgotarjani is still at the bottom of the standings. Kaposvari will meet Marso-Vagep (#12) in the next round. Salgotarjani will play against Kecskemeti and hopes to get finally their first victory.
