Not a big story in a game in Szombathely where 7th ranked Falco-Szova (5-6) was defeated by third ranked Atomeromu (9-2) 86-76 on Sunday. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was power forward Brooks Sales (208-80, college: Villanova) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Jibril Hodges (188-84, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 20 points. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Forward Charles Gosa (202-77, college: N.Mexico St.) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and swingman Jara Doyne (193-84, college: Mississippi) added 18 points respectively for the hosts. Falco-Szova's coach Nikola Lazic tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Atomeromu. The victory allowed Atomeromu (9-2) to climb to the second place. They share it with Albacomp. Falco-Szova is currently in seventh position with a 5-6 record as they suffered their sixth loss. Atomeromu will meet league's leader Szolnok in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Falco-Szova will play against Szedeak (#11) in Szeged and hope to secure a win.
