Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Cegledi EKK (1-13) was outscored on the road by second ranked Pecs 2010 (13-1) 89-45. The game without a history. Pecs 2010 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Cegledi EKK to just 5 points in second quarter. Pecs 2010 dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Cegledi EKK's 26. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by Cegledi EKK's players. Cegledi EKK was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian center Sara Krnjic (193-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and international power forward Nikoletta Turoczi (187-80) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Pecs 2010 players scored in double figures. At the losing side power forward Regina Pap (186-94) responded with 11 points and guard Katinka Orban (176-89) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 13-1 record having just victory less than leader MKB Eurol. Cegledi EKK lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with thirteen games lost. Pecs 2010 will play against bottom-ranked BEAC-Ujbuda (#13) in Budapest in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Cegledi EKK will play on the road against Bajai NKK to get more than just one victory in their record.
