The game in Szeged supposed to be quite interesting. Third ranked SEAT Lami (14-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Szeged (11-6). SEAT Lami smashed Szeged 98-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by SEAT Lami. Szeged managed to win second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SEAT Lami dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Szeged's 38. It was a great shooting night for SEAT Lami especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. American guard Essence Carson (183-86, college: Rutgers) scored 25 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Latvian center Ieva Kublina (193-82, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five SEAT Lami players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Ukrainian forward Olena Zherzherunova (191-78, agency: LBM Management) with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and international forward Rita Rasheed (180-89, agency: Laszlo Vinko Services) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SEAT Lami have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 14-2 record having five points less than leader Pecs 2010. Loser Szeged keeps the fifth place with six games lost. SEAT Lami will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Szeged will play against the league's second-placed MKB Euroleasing (#2) in Sopron and hope to secure a win.
