A League top team - Pecs 2010 (18-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Vasas-Csata (4-14) in Budapest 72-39. The game without a history. Pecs 2010 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vasas-Csata to just 7 points in second quarter. Pecs 2010 forced 24 Vasas-Csata turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Krisztina Raksanyi (180-91) who helped to win the game recording 18 points. American forward Kelsey Griffin (188-87, college: Nebraska) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Bernadett Balla (192-91) answered with 8 points and 9 rebounds and guard Szandra Pal (175-86, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Laszlo Vinko Services) added 5 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Vasas-Csata. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pecs 2010 have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-1 record. Vasas-Csata at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Pecs 2010 are looking forward to face BSE (#10) in Budapest in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
