No shocking result in a game when second ranked MKB Euroleasing (17-1) crushed 5th ranked Szeged (11-7) in Sopron 94-67. The game without a history. MKB Euroleasing led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Szeged's 30 and made 30-of-36 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Szeged 34-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Szeged was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Italian swingman Marissa Coleman (185-87, college: Maryland) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Amber Holt (183-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) helped adding 19 points and 4 assists. At the losing side international forward Rita Rasheed (180-89, agency: Laszlo Vinko Services) responded with 20 points and Ukrainian forward Olena Zherzherunova (191-78, agency: LBM Management) scored 8 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for MKB Euroleasing. They maintain second place with 17-1 record behind leader Pecs 2010. Szeged lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. MKB Euroleasing will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Szeged will play on the road against Nanette FTC (#4) in Budapest and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
