Regular Season Round 10: Dynamo MO - Unics 70-68

There was a change at the PBL leadership position after last games. Round 10 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Unics Kazan (7-3). They were edged by ninth ranked Dynamo Moscow (3-7) 70-68 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Unics Kazan. Unics Kazan was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 17-12 charge of Dynamo Moscow, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Unics Kazan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International guard Eugeny Voronov (192-86) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Alexey Zhukanenko (210-86, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Dynamo Moscow players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Kelly McCarty (201-75, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Avi Zilberman) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Polish-Swedish center Maciej Lampe (210-85) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Unics Kazan's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dynamo Moscow moved-up to seventh place, which they share with N.Novgorod and Krasnie Krilya. Unics Kazan at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They share it with Lokomotiv. They were replaced at the leadership position by CSKA. Unics Kazan will play next round against Krasnie Krilya trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Dynamo Moscow will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Khimky in Khimki.
