The most exciting game of round 20 in the A League took place in Budapest. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Szeged (11-8) to fifth ranked Nanette FTC (13-6) 72-70 on Sunday evening. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 40-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Hajnalka Szlimak (182-82) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds and guard Nora Rujak (174-90) who added 12 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Nanette FTC players scored in double figures. Ukrainian forward Olena Zherzherunova (191-78, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds and Serbian forward Iva Roglic (189-88) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Nanette FTC moved-up to fourth place. Szeged lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Nanette FTC will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Szeged will play at home against BEAC-Ujbuda (#13) in Budapest and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
