The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Pully's (9-5) home victory over 5th ranked Basel (6-8) 85-80. Basel was ahead by 19 points after three quarters before a 33-9 charge of Pully, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Basel 58-43 including 23 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American forward Mariesa Greene (183, college: Barry) notched a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 32 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and Senegalese guard Diodio Diouf (170-84) supported her with 29 points and 10 assists. Pully's coach Jean Fernandez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds by American center Megan Skouby (193-86, college: Iowa) did not help to save the game for Basel. Her fellow American import forward Aminata-Imgrueth Yanni (183-82, college: Illinois) added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. Four Basel players scored in double figures. Pully moved-up to third place, which they share with Riva Basket. Basel lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
