Regular Season Round 18: Szolnok - Kormend 88-74

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Szolnok. First ranked Szolnok faced 4th ranked Kormend. Host Szolnok (15-3) defeated guests from Kormend (12-5) 88-74. It looked good early as Kormend took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Szolnok had a 24-22 second period charge getting the lead and Kormend was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-88. Kormend's coach Balazs Sabali rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Szolnok maintains first position in Division with 15-3 record. Kormend at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Szolnok will play against FS Debrecen (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Kormend will play against Atomeromu (#3) in Paks and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
