A Division top team - Szolnok (16-3) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked FS Debrecen (1-18) 99-64. The game without a history. Szolnok led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to FS Debrecen's 40. Szolnok forced 23 FS Debrecen turnovers. It was a quality performance for American forward Ivory Clark (198-85) who led the winners and scored 25 points. His fellow American import guard Obie Trotter (186-84, college: Alabama A&M, agency: Court Side) accounted for 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Four Szolnok players scored in double figures. Cameroonian forward Yves Mekongo (201-87, college: La Salle) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and American power forward Kevin Langford (204-85, college: TCU) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for FS Debrecen in the defeat. FS Debrecen's coach Tamas Rathonyi gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Szolnok have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-3 record, which they share with Albacomp. FS Debrecen lost fifteenth consecutive game.
