Regular Season Round 20: Boncourt - SAM Massagno 89-78

The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Boncourt's (10-10) home victory over 7th ranked SAM Massagno (8-12) 89-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Boncourt. SAM Massagno managed to win second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Shorown Glover (180-87) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Belgian forward Douglas Tshomba (201-83, college: Tusculum) who added 14 points during the contest. American guard Ali Farokhmanesh (183-88, college: N.Iowa, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) responded with 29 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and his fellow American import forward A.J. Hawkins (198-85, college: Oklahoma Baptist) scored 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Boncourt and four SAM Massagno players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Boncourt maintains sixth position with 10-10 record. Loser SAM Massagno dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. Boncourt will meet league's leader Lugano Tigers on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. SAM Massagno will play against the league's second-placed Geneve Lions (#2) and hope to secure a win.
