Regular Season Round 16: ENAD - Omonia 62-58

Date: February 13, 2011
Bottom-ranked ENAD managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak on Sunday night. This time they won against eighth-ranked Omonia in Nicosia 62-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Omonia. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 14-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. ENAD forced 19 Omonia turnovers. The winners were led by American swingman Tyrone Kent (196-86, college: Toledo) who scored that evening 16 points and 8 rebounds and Montenegrin forward Balsa Radunovic (206-80) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Kent is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) by American forward Akida McLain (206-86, college: Indiana (PA)) did not help to save the game for Omonia. His fellow American import forward Dennis Horner (206-86, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Strategic Sports) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. ENAD (4-10) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with AEL. Loser Omonia dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. ENAD will meet AEL (#8) in the next round. Omonia will play against Achilleas in Kaimakli and hope to secure a win.
