Eighth ranked AEL (5-10) beat at home 9th ranked ENAD (4-11) by 9 points 81-72, which is the biggest margin this round. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. AEL players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard Brandon Ewing (187-86, college: Wyoming, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. The former international swingman Michalis Kounounis (194-81, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Four AEL players scored in double figures. Montenegrin forward Balsa Radunovic (206-80) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian center David Collins (213-85, college: Bradley) added 13 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for ENAD. AEL moved-up to sixth place, which they share with AEK. ENAD at the other side stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. AEL's next round opponent will be higher ranked Achilleas (#5) in Kaimakli and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ENAD will play at home against the league's leader APOEL (#1) in Nicosia.
