Lottomatica grabbed the first victory in Euroleague Top 16, Group F. They celebrated against Union Olimpija in Ljubljana joining them with 1-4 record. Both teams already lost all chances to reach the Quarterfinals. Nihad Dedovic stepped up for the Italians with 20 points, including 8 of 10 from the field. He reached valuation 29 and was the MVP of this game. Darius Washington secured a nice help adding 15, while Luigi Datome followed with 13 points. Vladimir Dasic had 10 points and 6 rebounds in this win. On the other side, Kenny Gregory scored 18 points for the home side. Saso Ozbolt and Vlado Ilievski (5 as) had 15 and 14 points respectively. Third quarter was the crucial one in this game. Before that, Lottomatica ended the first period 14-20 and Olimpija replied with 27-17 for the next ten minutes. However, Nihad Dedovic and his teammates took control on the hosts after the breather. They nailed 28 points in Q3, while limiting Olimpija to just 14. It means that Lottomatica was 55-65 ahead after 30 minutes and they had no troubles to keep their lead for rest of the game. In the last round of Top 16, what will also be the last appearance for both teams in Euroleague this season, Lottomatica will host Maccabi Electra, while Union Olimpija goes to Barcelona.
